If an error occurs, something similar to the following will result instead of the normal\/typical output:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table><tbody><tr><td><\/td><td><strong>*Error!*<\/strong><br>&nbsp; &lt;Type&gt;Authorization&lt;\/Type&gt;<br>&nbsp; &lt;TypeCode&gt;1&lt;\/TypeCode&gt;<br>&nbsp; &lt;Desc&gt;Your license key does not work on this service.&lt;\/Desc&gt;<br>&nbsp; &lt;DescCode&gt;8&lt;\/DescCode&gt;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three error types described below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"AVI-Errors-ErrorTypes\">Error Types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-table-section\"><table><thead><tr><th scope=\"col\">Type<\/th><th scope=\"col\">TypeCode<\/th><th scope=\"col\">Billable<\/th><th scope=\"col\">Standard Across All Gen2 Web Services<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Authorization<\/td><td>1<\/td><td>No<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>User Input<\/td><td>2<\/td><td>No<\/td><td>No<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Service Objects Fatal<\/td><td>3<\/td><td>No<\/td><td>Yes<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"AVI-Errors-Errortype1:Authorization\">Error type 1: Authorization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-no-bullets-indented-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theses are standard to all Generation 2 DOTS Web Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-table-section\"><table><thead><tr><th scope=\"col\">DescCode<\/th><th scope=\"col\">Desc<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>0<\/td><td>Unknown authorization error.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1<\/td><td>Please provide a valid license key for this web service.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>The daily allowable number of transactions for this license key has been exceeded.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>The monthly allowable number of transactions for this license key has been exceeded.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>The total allowable number of transactions for this license key has been exceeded.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td>There are not enough transactions available. Check your daily\/monthly transaction limits.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6<\/td><td>This license key has not yet been activated.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>7<\/td><td>This license key has expired.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>8<\/td><td>Your license key does not work on this service<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>13<\/td><td>This country is limited to specific usage. Please contact customer service to have your key enabled.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>14<\/td><td>This output language is limited to specific usage.&nbsp; Please contact customer service to have your key enabled.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"AVI-Errors-Errortype2:UserInput\">Error type 2: User Input<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-no-bullets-indented-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>User Input errors are caused when a user inputs an invalid value or fails to provide a certain input field altogether. If a developer creates a request and mistypes a parameter name, it will probably cause a User Input Error.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-table-section\"><table><thead><tr><th>DescCode<\/th><th>Desc<\/th><th>Additional Details<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td>You must input a license key in the LicenseKey field.<\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>The value of the OutputLanguage field is not supported.<\/td><td>Occurs when an unsupported OutputLanguage value is submitted.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>You must input an OutputLanguage.<\/td><td>Occurs when the OutputLanguage field is missing or when the value is empty.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>You must input a country name or country code in the Country field.<\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td>The country entered is not supported.<\/td><td>Indicates that the country entered may not necessarily be invalid but that the value is not supported. Either the value is not recognized or it is for a country that the service does not currently support.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6<\/td><td>The country entered is invalid<\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>7<\/td><td>You must input an address.<\/td><td>Occurs when a value is not passed to the Address1-5 fields or when the value(s) does not appear to be an address.Examples: \u201cAttention John Smith\u201d or \u201cOn the corner of East and Main\u201d or \u201c9 ^&amp;*$@! Rd\u201d<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>8<\/td><td>The length of one or more address fields is too long.<\/td><td>Occurs when the length of one or more of the Address1-5 field values exceeds 250 characters.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>9<\/td><td>The length of the Locality field is too long.<\/td><td>Occurs when the length of the Locality field value exceeds 250 characters.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>10<\/td><td>The length of the AdministrativeArea field is too long.<\/td><td>Occurs when the length of the AdministrativeArea field value exceeds 250 characters.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>11<\/td><td>Locality and AdministrativeArea are required when a PostalCode is not provided.<\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>12<\/td><td>The length of the PostalCode field is too long.<\/td><td>Occurs when the length of the PostalCode field value exceeds 50 characters.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"AVI-Errors-Errortype3:ServiceObjectsFatal\">Error type 3: Service Objects Fatal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-no-bullets-indented-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Desc will always be the same and the DescCode has no meaning. This is standard to all Generation 2 DOTS Web Services. This is a rare error that signals either a bug in the DOTS Address Validation International service, or a Network\/Connectivity issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-table-section\"><table><thead><tr><th scope=\"col\">DescCode<\/th><th scope=\"col\">Desc<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td>Unhandled error.
